Central government should take over planning responsibility for large housing projects, according to a new report by law firm Bond Dickinson.

The report recommended placing some housing schemes under the jurisdiction of the Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects regime in order to solve Britain's growing housing crisis and ‘relieve hard-pressed local authority budgets'.
