Ministers and public sector trade unions have reached a final agreement on the future of pension schemes covering civil servants, NHS staff and teachers from 2015, the Cabinet Office announced today (9 March).

The announcement is the result of work undertaken since the two sides reached provisional, 'heads of agreement' deals on future pension plans back in December.
