Local police have co-ordinated the peaceful eviction of squatters from the Wilderness Centre in the Forest of Dean, after Gloucester City Council obtained an eviction warrant for the site.

Cllr Ray Theodoulou, Gloucester's cabinet member for finance, said: ‘We said from the beginning we wanted to avoid taking legal action here, but we were left with no choice.'
