When the Government scrapped funding to the improvement and efficiency boards, chairman of the South East RIEP, Paul Bettison, took the decision to reinvent the organisation. Heather Jameson reports.

Improvement and Efficiency Social Enterprise (IESE) started its life as one of the regional improvement and efficiency boards. But when the coalition came to power, they were in the firing line to be scrapped.
