As the evenings are getting darker and colder, the signs are clear that winter is upon us and councils up and down the country will be putting plans in place to keep residents safe and well.

This also means it is becoming increasingly urgent for the Government to address the funding that councils so desperately need in the Spending Review if they are to ease a potential crisis in the NHS as we prepare for demand to increase along with the adverse weather.
