Woking contacts police following auditor report

Woking BC has contacted the police after an auditor’s report found officers failure to ensure its finance and business was managed ‘prudently or lawfully’.

Woking BC has contacted the police after an auditor's report found officers failure to ensure its finance and business was managed ‘prudently or lawfully'.

Following the publication of Grant Thornton's public interest report, into Woking's financial troubles, the borough's chief executive Richard Carr has contacted Surrey Police to make clear that ‘any evidence of criminality or misfeasance in public office would be referred to them for investigation'.
