City heavyweight Neil Woodford has sought to reassure Kent CC and other investors after they were blocked from withdrawing from his multi-billion pound fund.

The stock market guru insisted that his firm, Woodford Investment Management, had a stabilisation strategy in place so Kent's pension fund would eventually be able to access its £263m investment in the Equity Income Fund.
