Worcestershire districts mull plan for shared chief executive

Council leaders from Wychavon DC and Malvern Hills DC are in exploratory discussions over whether to establish a joint managing director to boost existing shared service arrangements.

Two district councils in Worcestershire are holding talks over plans to establish a joint chief-executive in a job share that could save up to £100,000 annually.

Council leaders from Wychavon DC and Malvern Hills DC are in exploratory discussions over whether to establish a joint managing director to boost existing shared service arrangements.

Jack Hegarty is currently the Wychavon chief executive, earning up to £107,004 a year and his Malvern counterpart, Chris Bocock earns up to £105,000 annually.
