Workforce warning for pension scheme after survey

Almost a quarter (23%) of local government pension scheme (LGPS) employees feel they do not have the right staff in place, a survey conducted by the Pensions and Lifetime Savings Association (PLSA) has found.

Almost a quarter (23%) of local government pension scheme (LGPS) employees feel they do not have the right staff in place, a survey conducted by the Pensions and Lifetime Savings Association (PLSA) has found.

Sector experts have previously highlighted the lack of qualified staff in the LGPS, which has been exacerbated by lower pay rates compared to the private sector, with firms poaching people who can increasingly work remotely following the pandemic.
