The Olympics and Thames Gateway are critical to helping young people, according to Newham LBC's mayor.

Sir Robin Wales said the projects will be critical to driving up local skills and providing affordable homes.

He said: ‘We've got to support the drive and energy of young people. That means jobs and opportunities. It's about working with young people and giving them aspirations.'
