Better reform for better lives

In Parliament last week, Prime Minister Boris Johnson hammered home his commitment to cross-party talks in order to build a consensus on a plan for social care.

After a litany of broken promises and lack of traction, it feels like an auspicious time for making progress. That’s certainly the hope of President of the Association of Directors of Adult Social Services (ADASS) Julie Ogley, who has underlined her belief that the cross-party approach is crucial.
