Splitting up county council social care services into new authorities needs to be ‘done delicately’, the new president of the Association of Directors of Children’s Services has warned.

Splitting up county council social care services into new authorities needs to be ‘done delicately', the new president of the Association of Directors of Children's Services has warned.

Speaking to The MJ in the week she steps into her role, Rachael Wardell said: ‘Disaggregation is harder because it will involve splitting some functions potentially, and that obviously needs to be done delicately, and it can be a sort of disruption to some of the other work that you're doing.
