Commissioners set to be appointed at Nottingham

Levelling up secretary Michael Gove is 'minded to' appoint commissioners to oversee the running of Nottingham City Council.

The Government is set to appoint commissioners to oversee the running of Nottingham City Council.

A letter from local government minister Simon Hoare to the council's improvement board said there was a need to ‘escalate' intervention at the authority as it was ‘continuing to fail to comply with its best value duty'.
