Councils appeal for reorganisation to cross county lines

Three councils have cautioned against sticking to ‘arbitrary’ county borders in local government reorganisation.

Leaders of Lancaster City Council, South Lakeland DC and Barrow BC have written a joint letter to local government secretary Robert Jenrick to consider cross-county options in any devolution deal or reorganisation.
