Female genital mutilation (FGM) is an abhorrent form of abuse and councils see first-hand the devastating impact it has on its victims’ mental and physical health.
Councils, with partner organisations, are working hard to end FGM and protect the tens of thousands of women and girls estimated to be at risk in the UK.
