Keeping the public and the frontline safe

It is difficult to comprehend the tragedy that has unfolded in just over a year since the first two official COVID-19 cases were recorded in the UK.

More than 117,000 people across the country have died within 28 days of a positive test, while a recent poll showed one in eight Britons have lost a close friend or family member to the virus.

Councils have continued to work tirelessly on the pandemic response, including supporting the vaccine rollout, which will ultimately be our route out of this crisis.
