Kirklees urged to invest in corporate centre

Kirklees MBC should invest in its corporate centre and streamline decision-making to support both members and senior officers, a corporate peer challenge report has urged.

Peers visited the council just weeks after an independent review found the authority and its partners missed opportunities to protect two girls from child sexual exploitation and a year after 20 men were convicted of historic rape and abuse involving girls in Huddersfield.
