LGA questions funding to tackle COVID-19 surges

Councils have voiced concern over funding to tackle COVID-19 in areas hit by the Delta variant.

Lancashire and Greater Manchester have been declared ‘enhanced response areas’ receiving additional guidance, ramping up of testing and vaccinations, as well as assistance from ‘surge rapid response teams’ and the military to help stop the spread of the Delta variant first identified in India.
