Whitehall must release Prevent funding

Following worldwide incidents the role of local authorities to counter radicalisation and combat terrorism has never been more important.

As a council we have been proactively involved in the government’s Prevent Strategy since 2011 and our work has tried to keep pace with the times. 

Our digital resilience programme is just one of these areas of work. By providing a suite of resources to our secondary schools, we help students to critically analyse information and provide our teachers with the tools they need to identify and assess those who may be vulnerable to extremism.
