Accountancy bodies clash over Oflog vision

A row has broken out between two chartered accountancy bodies that had committed to closer working.

A row has broken out between two chartered accountancy bodies that had committed to closer working.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) recently suggested that the Office for Local Government (Oflog) should consolidate the financial results and position of local authorities on a monthly basis, which it said would bring the local government sector in line with ‘basic practice in the private sector'.
