Achieving earned autonomy

A Staffordshire partnership has been making great strides in helping children and families in need in the county, with a big focus on early help. Mark Sutton explains.

Staffordshire CC's success in being one of only 11 English authorities to be awarded Earned Autonomy Funding to deliver the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government's Troubled Families programme means we can make a difference to people's lives.

The Troubled Families programme, known in Staffordshire as Building Resilient Families and Communities (BRFC), is achieving good things.
