ADCS chief seeks clarity on safeguarding boards

The Association of Directors of Children’s Services (ADCS) has called for an ‘urgent national review’ of safeguarding boards and criticised the response to the Rotherham crisis.

The Association of Directors of Children's Services (ADCS) has called for an ‘urgent national review' of safeguarding boards and criticised the response to the Rotherham crisis.

ADCS president Alan Wood plans to ask Department for Education officials for clarity about their expectations of the role, purpose and function of the boards when he meets them shortly.
