A Tory council leader has launched a blistering attack on the ‘poorly handled’ local government finance settlement in a letter to prime minister David Cameron.

A Tory council leader has launched a blistering attack on the ‘poorly handled' local government finance settlement in a letter to prime minister David Cameron.

In the letter, seen by The MJ, Essex CC leader Cllr David Finch told Mr Cameron the settlement had caused ‘some deep unhappiness and unease among many counties'.
