WORKFORCE

Associate Director of Organisational Effectiveness & Education

Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust, Wakefield.

You'll notice this isn't an OD role, nor should it be, because we believe OD is a collective responsibility, whilst OE & Education can be shaped and led by the right person.

If you're passionate about maximising the talents and capabilities of people through a blended portfolio of skills, education, development, engagement and diversity look no further. However, it's not just the people we employ you'll need to consider, you'll also have a leading role in enhancing and improving our approach to community and commercial education. As a result, this isn't your standard training and development role, consequently the last thing we need is a bog standard training and development professional.

Instead, we're looking for someone who really knows how to release potential, both individual and organisational, work well with partners, particularly those in Higher Education, and can deliver real added value and clinical excellence through our workforce development provision. You'll be expected to be credible, motivated and influential from day one, including with the most senior clinicians in the Trust, and you'll also work hand in hand with HR colleagues to ensure a seamless approach to people management and development across the Trust. We expect a lot, but will also give a lot in return. Fundamentally though, you'll need to commit to our values and exhibit the leadership behaviours necessary to deliver our Mission: "Saving lives, caring for you".

For further information, please go to this link. For an informal discussion about the role, please contact Stephen Moir, Deputy Chief Executive, on 01924 584039.

Please note that CVs will not be accepted and that no agencies are necessary.

Closing date for receipt of completed applications is Friday, 8th June 2012.

The final assessment and selection centre will be held on Thursday, 28th June 2012.
