Avoiding a local climate disaster

COP26 may be a global event to tackle climate change, but we need local action too, says Gill Kneller.

COP26 is massive and its impact should be far-reaching and life-changing. It's a worldwide event, which is exactly what we need to tackle climate change.

But in order for it to work we need to make it relevant locally to individuals and communities. As well as bringing it closer to home, we need to accept that sometimes it costs more to go green, but these costs are worth it.
