Bexley faces £13m overspend

The London borough has forecast this year’s budget will be exceeded by almost 10% in the wake of the coronavirus crisis.

Bexley LBC is facing a budget gap of £13.4m by the end of the financial year, according to the latest forecasts.

The figure, which includes the Government's pandemic grant funding, represents more than 9% of the total budget for 2020/21 of £147.2m, according to a new report to senior councillors.
