'Biggest reforms in a generation' for kids

The Government’s approach to intervening in failing services will be strengthened as part of the ‘widest reaching reforms to children’s social care in a generation,’ education secretary Nicky Morgan has announced.

The Government's approach to intervening in failing services will be strengthened as part of the ‘widest reaching reforms to children's social care in a generation,' education secretary Nicky Morgan has announced.

Its vision for children's social care, published this week, said children's services commissioners would be appointed if efforts to improve were too slow or council failure was found to be ‘systemic'.
