Binmen in Bromley and Croydon to strike next week

Refuse collection workers in Bromley and Croydon will go on strike for three days next week over a 2% pay offer.

Refuse collection workers in Bromley and Croydon will go on strike for three days next week over a 2% pay offer.

The workers, who are members of trade union Unite, have called the pay offer 'paltry' and are seeking a rise of 3.1%. The union has highlighted that Veolia, who operates the services in the two boroughs, reported a 20% increase in profits.
