An improvement model that has helped turn around Birmingham City Council could be rolled out to other struggling local authorities.

Five local government big hitters were drafted into Birmingham as non-executive advisers to help the council last July and the ‘innovative' non-executive advisers (NEA) model could now be used elsewhere.
