Birmingham and Northampton join COVID watch list

Birmingham and Northampton are the latest areas to be added to the Government’s coronavirus watch list.

Birmingham and Northampton are the latest areas to be added to the Government's coronavirus watch list.

Health secretary Matt Hancock has designated Birmingham as an ‘area of enhanced support', while Northampton has become an ‘area of intervention' following a rise in the number of COVID-19 cases.
