Boring not bad

Sir Bob Neill says this wasn’t a Queen’s Speech packed with surprises, ‘but if dull means getting the job done, let’s welcome the dull’.

To quote one cabinet minister, the recent Queen's Speech was ‘dull as hell'.

Dull doesn't, however, equate to bad, and after the rocky years of Brexit, COVID, and the unedifying events that continue to play out, perhaps all of us, the Prime Minister included, would benefit from a duller, more ‘normal' stint in politics.
