Brent chief to depart

Brent LBC chief executive Gareth Daniel is expected to leave his post later today after 26 years with the council.

Brent LBC chief executive Gareth Daniel has today left his post after 26 years with the council, it has been confirmed.

Mr Daniel's departure came following a meeting with Brent leader Cllr Muhammed Butt , who took control after previous leader Ann John was ousted in May. Since then, his relationship with the chief executive has gradually deteriorated.
