Brent LBC chief executive Gareth Daniel has today left his post after 26 years with the council, it has been confirmed.

Mr Daniel's departure came following a meeting with Brent leader Cllr Muhammed Butt , who took control after previous leader Ann John was ousted in May. Since then, his relationship with the chief executive has gradually deteriorated.
