A judicial review next month has been averted after communities secretary James Brokenshire backtracked on a decision to block a planning application for 220 homes.

A judicial review next month has been averted after communities secretary James Brokenshire backtracked on a decision to block a planning application for 220 homes.

Mr Brokenshire conceded he had failed to give adequate reasons when refusing the Purley Baptist Church planning application last year.
