Budget: £22.6bn rise in day-to-day spending for NHS

Chancellor Rachel Reeves announced a £22.6bn rise in the day-to-day health budget, representing 4% average real terms growth, and a £3.1bn increase in the capital budget between 2023-24 and 2025-26.

Chancellor Rachel Reeves announced a £22.6bn rise in the day-to-day health budget, representing 4% average real terms growth, and a £3.1bn increase in the capital budget between 2023-24 and 2025-26.

Reeves said: ‘This is the largest real terms growth in day-to-day NHS spending outside of Covid since 2010.'
