Calls have been made for a combined authority covering northern Devon.

North Devon DC Lib Dem, Cllr Brian Greenslade, has urged his authority to form an cross-party working group to ‘examine and develop appropriately working towards combined authority status' with Mid Devon and Torridge DCs.
