Cambridge City Council is to bring its cultural events service back in-house after the charity Cambridge Live ran into financial difficulties.

The running of city centre events, the Cambridge Corn Exchange, Guildhall and Cambridge Folk Festival were all handed over to Cambridge Live, a charity it set up by the council, in 2014 in a bid to make savings through operating efficiencies and generating more income.
