Warnings that the Care Act needs more funding for it to be a success have continued to be made as the legislation comes into force today.

Weeks after adult social care directors warned that a failure to fully fund new burdens arising from the Act could jeopardise the reforms' success, charities said the law change was destined to fail unless the Government committed more funding.
