A new deal between the public and politicians is needed to rebuild trust, extremism tsar Louise Casey argued yesterday.

Ms Casey, who investigated child sexual exploitation in Rotherham, said it was ‘extraordinary' that councillors convicted of child sexual offences would not be forced out of office immediately.
