Change for the better

The future of the UK’s regions now depends on whether councils can transform services, deliver on local growth and transform their place in a joined-up way. Dr Henry Kippin explains how this can be achieved

Fidel Castro famously said revolution is a struggle to the death between the future and the past.

I am not sure who comes out on top where our own Brexit revolution is concerned, but in calling for an industrial strategy which eschews the selective focus of the Northern Powerhouse and speaks to more of England's ‘places left behind', Theresa May's government seems to want a bit of both in the aftermath.
