Chief executive appointment could be torpedoed if leader ousted

A full council meeting next week will be asked to appoint Roger Parkin but his key backer for the role, leader Cllr Sohail Munawar, who was suspended by the Labour party after allegations that he distributed indecent material in January 2016, could be ousted moments before.
