The Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE) is an independent charity working with adults, families and children's social care, social work services and healthcare across the UK. SCIE has established a strong reputation as an innovative leadership organisation in social care. ~We support policy development, work with NICE to develop integrated health andsocial care quality standards, host Think Local Act Personal improvement partnership and disseminate our knowledge throughour website, e-learning and Social Care TV.

We are a framework partner for the Children's Improvement Board. We also host theCollege of Social Work and support its ofier to the profession. We are now seeking to appoint a Chief Executive to build on thesuccess of the current post holder and achieve further success inan increasingly challenging environment, ensuring we continue to add value, professionalism and rigour to the ever changing needs of the social care sector.

As Chief Executive, you will lead our infiuencing agenda,maximising our impact.

You will work closely with a high calibreboard of trustees to develop and broaden our ofier to the sector, diversify our sources of income and retain the strong supportthat we currently receive from our stakeholders. We are therefore seeking an individual with ambition and astrong track record of success as a leader. With exceptionalcommunication, advocacy and infiuencing skills, you will havesignificant experience of working in the social care sector, aswell as the ability to engage across a wide range of stakeholdersand opinion formers.

You will be intellectually robust and building alliances and partnerships will come naturally to you.You will be commercially savvy with an entrepreneurial flair evidenced by experience of growth and income diversification.You will be an exceptional networker, strong on governance anda highly experienced manager of people. Above all else you will have the passion and credibility to ensure we continue to focus on improving the knowledge and skills ofall of those working within social care.
