Clarifying the role of charities

Devolution may seem like the answer to the sector’s prayers but, argues Dan Corry, local government must not overlook the voluntary sector in its rush to change

The coming of the city region agenda has caused great excitement in local government land.

But, is this a real revolution in the way we govern our country, or a cynical attempt to make sub-national spatial areas carry the can for austerity?
