Collaboration is key to a bright future

The integration of property and other frontine services is a new phenomenon, but one which is growing at pace, writes Mike Britch.

The Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors recently asked whether collaboration was the future for public sector property services. The resulting report came down in the affirmative. A conclusion with which I wholeheartedly agree.

Shared services used to be associated with centralising back office functions to reduce costs and duplication. The integration of property and other frontline services is a relatively new phenomenon, but one which is growing at pace.
