Competition within the NHS

Properly-regulated competition can be drivers for choice, integration and high-quality services, says Stephen Bubb.

Last week, Baroness Shirley Williams was reported in the media as calling for the entire part three of the Health and Social Care Bill – that is all the competition clauses – to be dropped.

I would argue that to do so would be bad news for the country's charities.
