West Midlands Mayor Andy Street has called on his own party to reduce homelessness by reversing the housing benefits freeze.

Mayor Street said the three-year freeze of Local Housing Allowance (LHA), which is part of Universal Credit, was a ‘major factor contributing to the increase in homelessness'.
