Council leaders concerned about future of public services, finds survey

Latest survey by Ipsos MORI shows nearly three-quarters of local government leaders put funding and budget cuts as their top concern.

Nearly three-quarters of local government leaders (74%) say funding and budget cuts are their top concerns at the moment, according to the latest survey by Ipsos MORI.

The Ipsos MORI Public Sector Leaders survey found that 62% of local government leaders say their authority has been affected a great deal by the cuts in public spending, with only half (54%) saying they have been able to provide a similar quality of service since the cuts.
