Council mourns death of chief executive

Castle Point's David Marchant has died at the age of 68 following a short illness.

Castle Point BC has announced its chief executive David Marchant has died at the age of 68 following a short illness.

In a statement today, the council said Mr Marchant's 15 years in the role had taken the authority from ‘one of the worst councils in the country to one of the best performing'.
