Council spending powers to be restored to 2010 levels under Labour

Labour would ‘reverse the Tory decade of austerity for local government’ and aim to restore council spending powers to 2010 levels by 2024 if elected.

Labour would ‘reverse the Tory decade of austerity for local government' and aim to restore council spending powers to 2010 levels by 2024 if elected.

The party's manifesto also pledged a ‘radical decentralisation of power in Britain' – giving powers and funding to every region of the UK - while building a ‘comprehensive' National Care Service for England to ‘end the social care crisis'.
