A watchdog has urged Argyll and Bute Council to take a more ‘strategic approach’ to transforming services to help close a £29m funding gap.

A watchdog has urged Argyll and Bute Council to take a more ‘strategic approach' to transforming services to help close a £29m funding gap.

Deputy chair of the Accounts Commission, Andrew Burns, said the Western Scottish council needed to ‘rapidly build on [its] culture of improvement to drive forward deeper transformation and service re-design'.
