Sector braced for Trump tariff tremors

The sector was this week bracing itself for the economic impact of US President Donald Trump slapping 10% tariffs on goods exported from the UK.

The sector was this week bracing itself for the economic impact of US President Donald Trump slapping 10% tariffs on goods exported from the UK. 

According to analysis by think-tank Centre for Cities, places where manufacturing represents a higher share of the local economy depend the most on exporting goods, with Coventry the most exposed of Britain's towns and cities to the impact of Trump's tariffs.
